Terms of use
The rules for playing Paintballer: fair play, names, coins and items, competitions, creator codes and things you create.
These terms are the rules for using Paintballer. By playing, you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
1. The game
Paintballer is a free online paintball game made by Exile Games. You can play it in a web browser without an account. We may change, add or remove features, maps and modes at any time.
2. Your profile and account
Your progress is stored in your browser and, if you play online, on our server. Signing in with Google is optional. Keep your device and account secure; you are responsible for what happens on your profile.
3. Be a good sport
When you play, do not:
- cheat, use aimbots, hacks, scripts or exploits, or tamper with the game, its servers or other players’ connections;
- choose names, team names, tags or map prompts that are rude, hateful, sexual, threatening, or that pretend to be someone else;
- harass, bully or target other players;
- try to collect information about other players;
- sell, trade or transfer profiles, accounts, coins or items.
We may rename, hide, reset or remove profiles, teams, maps or clips, and remove players from leaderboards, leagues or cups, if they break these rules.
4. Coins, items, passes and memberships
Coins and cosmetic items are earned by playing. They have no money value, cannot be exchanged for money and belong to the game; you get a licence to use them in the game. Coins are never sold for real money. Pro (30 days) and a season's premium pass can be bought with real money through Stripe; for a protected account (under 13, or under the age of digital consent where the player lives) only a parent can approve and pay, within the monthly limit they set.
5. Competitions
Ranked play, weekly leagues, cups such as Friday Night Paint and leaderboards are for fun. Rewards are in-game items or coins only. We decide results, including after no-shows, disconnects or rule breaks, and our decision is final. We may change or cancel any competition.
6. Creator codes
Creator codes let players show support for a creator. Entering one costs nothing. Being a creator does not make you our employee or partner. Any future revenue share will be under a separate written agreement.
6a. The clipper programme
Clippers post clips of Paintballer on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and similar apps and can earn money for it. The current rates are on the clipper page and in the game; we may change them for the future at any time, and earnings already made keep the rate they were made at.
- Adults only. You must be 18 or older to earn money. You tell us your birth year when you apply, and Stripe checks your age before any payout. If you are under 18, or the game is in kids mode, you cannot become a paid clipper, and a refusal is permanent for that player and device.
- What you earn. A share of what the players you referred spend (net of taxes, store and payment fees and refunds) for the first months after they joined; optional amounts per 1,000 verified views of your clip pages and for campaign reports; and an amount for each referred player who finishes their first matches. You earn on the players you referred yourself, never on players referred by them. Players in kids mode never earn anyone money.
- Who counts as referred. A new player who arrives through your link or types your code as a new player. Only one clipper is credited per player, and only once per device.
- Say it's paid. Every post you could earn from must clearly say it is an ad: start with #ad (or "Ad") and turn on the app's own label (TikTok "Branded content", YouTube "Paid promotion", Instagram "Paid partnership"). This is required by the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, similar laws elsewhere, and the apps' rules.
- Kid-safe content. No swearing, gore, gambling, adult themes or shock content; never target children or ask anyone to buy things; never show other players' real names, faces or voices.
- No fraud. No bought or fake views, bots, view farms, self-referrals, your own extra accounts or devices, and no identical mass reposts of the same video. We use automated checks; earnings from fraud are removed and the account closed.
- Payouts. Earnings are held for 30 days. Refunds and chargebacks are taken back, also after a payout (the balance can go below zero and is netted next time). Payouts are monthly through Stripe Connect once your balance reaches the minimum. You are responsible for your own taxes.
- Clip kit. The daily clip kit contains highlights from players who opted in, with their names hidden unless they agreed. You may use the clips, our music, the brand kit and templates only to promote Paintballer under these rules. The music is ours and free to use in those posts.
- Being a clipper does not make you our employee, agent or partner. We may suspend or end the programme or your participation at any time; earnings already confirmed will still be paid unless they came from a breach of these rules.
7. Things you create
Maps you make with CREATE, clips you share and names you choose are your content. You give us a worldwide, free licence to host, show, adapt and share them in and around the game (for example, in the community rotation or on share pages). You confirm you have the right to share them. Maps are designed by an AI model from your prompt; similar maps may be made for others.
8. AI
Bots, map designs and voice lines in the game are made with AI. AI output can be imperfect, and you use it at your own risk.
9. Our content
The game, its code, art, sounds, names and logos belong to Exile Games or our licensors. You may share screenshots and videos of the game. Press assets are on our press page.
10. No warranty
The game is provided as is, free of charge. We do our best to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or that progress will never be lost.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Exile Games is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of in-game progress or items. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Note for review: governing law, venue, dispute resolution, minimum age, consumer law carve-outs (EU/UK), and the legal entity name and address.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Questions or reports: hello@paintball.ai.
