Modes

| Scenario | A big battle on a big map, with paint tanks, boats, a helicopter and a paint blimp. | 8 | 8 min |

Outs, eliminations and respawns
A paintball that hits you anywhere puts you out, from your boots to your goggles. There is no health to wear down.
Every out scores. You get extra for a goggles hit, a ball that curved round cover and a shot from more than 35 m.
In most modes you come back after a few seconds; after 1.2 s you can press jump to come back early. You arrive with a short spawn shield, so nobody can paint you the moment you appear.
Speedball is one life a round: once you are out you watch until the next round. In Scenario, 5 outs in a row lets you call in the paint blimp.
| Mode | Back in | Spawn shield | To win |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free for All | 2.5 s | 2.5 s | 15 outs |
| Team Deathmatch | 3 s | 2 s | 30 outs |
| Capture the Flag | 4 s | 1.5 s | 3 captures |
| Speedball | One life a round | None | 4 rounds |
| Scenario | 4 s | 2 s | 40 outs |

Tips for new players
- Stay behind cover. Lean out to shoot instead of stepping into the open.
- Lean while you shoot to curve the ball around a bunker.
- Aim down sights for anything past about ten metres. Moving and jumping spread your shots.
- When your hopper runs dry mid-fight, switch to your pistol. It is faster than a reload.
- Sprint, then crouch to slide into cover.
- Use a smoke to cross open ground and a paint grenade to flush people out of cover.
- Watch the mini scoreboard and play the objective: flags win Speedball and Capture the Flag.
FAQ
Is Paintballer free?
Yes. Every mode, map and marker is free. Coins are earned by playing and only buy looks, at a price you see. There are no loot boxes.
Do I need to download anything or sign up?
No. It runs in your browser on computers, phones and tablets. Signing in is optional and only keeps your progress across devices.
How do I play with friends?
Press PLAY WITH FRIENDS and share the link or the code. Friends join your room in one tap, and bots fill any empty seats.
Can I play with a controller?
Yes. Connect any standard gamepad and press a button: the left stick moves, the right stick looks, RT shoots and LT aims.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. On phones and tablets you get a touch stick, drag to look, on-screen buttons and a little aim assist.
What happens when I get hit?
One hit and you're out. In most modes you are back in a few seconds with a spawn shield; in Speedball you wait for the next round.
Which marker should I start with?
